Vancouver and UBC
Completed in 2005, the Vancouver/UBC Area Transit Plan (ATP) represents a comprehensive review of existing transit service and future requirements within the City of Vancouver, the University of British Columbia, and adjacent University Endowment Lands.
The ATP helped guide TransLink’s delivery of the transit services, related programs, and infrastructure for the 2005 to 2010 period, including the integration of bus services for the opening of the Canada Line in 2009.

Process
The Vancouver/UBC Area Transit Plan involved a comprehensive planning process that included analysis of issues and opportunities, assessment of community values, and identification and prioritization of strategies and actions. An integral part of this process was stakeholder and public engagement, including ongoing coordination with a Public Advisory Committee (PAC) and a range of special-interest stakeholder groups.
Progress
The Vancouver/UBC Area Transit Plan is a living document, which means TransLink will continue to collaborate with local government partners to stay on track to deliver the recommendations in the Plan.
