What is TransLink?
The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority ("TransLink") is responsible for regional transportation planning, transit services and major road networks. The actual delivery of public transit services takes place through subsidiary companies and contractors and the maintenance and improvement of TransLink's major road network is done in partnership with the various municipalities. Among TransLink's wholly owned subsidiaries are Coast Mountain Bus Company, West Coast Express, SkyTrain, Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Transit Police
Who is the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service?
The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Service ("Transit Police Service") is a designated policing unit which became operational in December 2005. The Transit Police Service operates within the "Transportation Service Region" (as defined in the GVTA Act) with a mandate to preserve and maintain the public peace, prevent crime and offences against the law, aid in the administration of justice and enforce the laws in force in British Columbia, primarily directed towards:
