    We implement service changes every January, April, June, and September to ensure service is provided where it’s needed most based on seasonal patterns and recent trends.

    Starting Jan. 6, 2025, TransLink is implementing modest increases to bus service levels on 28 routes around the region to respond to customer demand. Highlights include:

    • Increased service frequency on 14 routes to address overcrowding and improve convenience for customers.

    • Extended hours of service on 12 routes – 10 of which are in Surrey and Langley – in response to customer feedback.

    TransLink is proud to launch the new 338 East Fraser Heights/Guildford, connecting the growing East Fraser Heights neighbourhood to regional transit routes, including the R1 RapidBus, and major local destinations.

    • The 338 will run seven days per week, offering service every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.

    We will continue monitoring ridership levels across the region to ensure service is provided where it is needed most as more and more people choose transit.

    Introducing Route 338

    We're launching a new community shuttle route with service to East Fraser Heights in Surrey based on customer feedback.

    338 East Fraser Heights / Guildford

    Say hello to the new route 338! We’re introducing the 338 East Fraser Heights/Guildford to deliver improved service throughout the week to and from the East Fraser Heights neighbourhood in Surrey. Eastbound trips on the 338 will depart from Bay 1 at Guildford Exchange.

    Monday to Friday

    • Every 30 minutes towards East Fraser Heights from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    • Every 30 minutes towards Guildford Exchange from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    Saturday

    • Every 30 minutes towards East Fraser Heights from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • Every 30 minutes towards Guildford Exchange from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Sunday/Holiday

    • Every 30 minutes towards East Fraser Heights from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    • Every 30 minutes towards Guildford Exchange from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

    • The TransLink Customer Service Centre and Access Transit Customer Care Office will be open. The Lost Property Office will close early at 2 p.m.

    • Bus services will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.

    • SkyTrain Expo and Millennium Line services will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule with reduced service throughout the day. Canada Line service will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

    To ensure customers have a safe ride home from holiday parties and gatherings, TransLink is offering free transit across all services on New Year’s Eve in partnership with Captain Morgan. From 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, customers won’t need to tap their Compass Card or other payment methods to use transit.

    Customers who begin trips prior to 5 p.m. should tap out to ensure they’re charged the correct fare.

    • Bus services will operate on an extended weekday schedule with 52 additional buses throughout the system and extra service on select routes.

    • SkyTrain (Expo, Millennium, and Canada Lines) services will operate on an extended weekday schedule with last trains running one hour later than regularly scheduled:

      • Last train from Waterfront to King George at 2:16 a.m.

      • Last train from Waterfront to Lougheed at 2:11 a.m.

      • Last train from Waterfront to Production Way-University at 1:40 a.m.

      • Last train from Waterfront to YVR-Airport Station at 2:05 a.m.

      • Last train from Waterfront to Richmond-Brighouse at 2:15 a.m.

      • Last train from Richmond-Brighouse to Waterfront at 1:46 a.m.

      • Last train YVR-Airport Station to Waterfront at 1:54 a.m.

      • Last train from VCC-Clark to Lafarge Lake-Douglas at 2:22 a.m. (until 2:30 a.m. as far as Lougheed Town Centre only)

      • Last train from Lafarge Lake-Douglas to VCC-Clark at 1:58 a.m.

    • SeaBus will be running on a weekday schedule with extended service every 15 minutes until 1:22 a.m. and every 30 minutes until last sailing from Waterfront at 2:22 a.m.

    • NightBus will continue operating after SkyTrain and SeaBus service ends.

      • NightBus runs throughout the night on key routes in Vancouver, Richmond, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, and Surrey.

    • West Coast Express will be operating on a weekday schedule and the 5:30 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. trains leaving Waterfront Station will be free to customers.
