Take transit to the 2025 Vancouver Sun Run
Increased SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express service on April 27
VANCOUVER, BC – TransLink is adding extra transit service to make it easier for people to get to and from the Vancouver Sun Run on Sunday, April 27.
Participants and spectators can look forward to more frequent SkyTrain and SeaBus service, as well as a special West Coast Express train to get to and from the annual 10k run.
The starting line for the Vancouver Sun Run is at West Georgia and Thurlow streets, which is approximately a two-minute walk from the Expo Line’s Burrard Station.
Runners will go through Vancouver’s West End, Olympic Village, and Mount Pleasant neighbourhoods before crossing the finish line outside Rogers Arena. Customers looking to cheer on the runners as they wrap up their race can easily access the finish line by traveling to Stadium–Chinatown Station.
Service changes on Sunday, April 27:
- West Coast Express will provide a special Sunday service to get people to and from the Vancouver Sun Run.
- The westbound train will depart from Mission City Station at 7 a.m.
- The eastbound train will depart from Waterfront Station at 1 p.m.
- SkyTrain service will start 30 minutes early at approximately 6:30 a.m., with extra trains running until mid-afternoon when the race is finished.
- Bus service in downtown Vancouver will detour around the Vancouver Sun Run. Specific buses that will be detoured include routes 2, 5, 6, 15, 23, 50, 84, 240, 246, 257, N19, and N24. These detours will be in effect all morning until approximately 2 p.m. when roads re-open.
- SeaBus will begin early service at 7:02 a.m. from Lonsdale Quay.
