TransLink announces Canada Day transit services

1-Zone fare for travel across transit system on July 1

NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – On July 1, holiday fares will be in effect and customers will only need a 1-Zone fare to travel across the transit network on Canada Day.

TransLink customers should note the following service changes on Canada Day (July 1):

  • Bus service will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.
  • SeaBus will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.
    • 10-minute service frequency from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • 15-minute service extension from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • SkyTrain will operate on an extended Sunday/holiday schedule.
    • Last train from Waterfront to King George at 1:16 a.m.
    • Last train from Waterfront to Lougheed/Production Way–University at 1:11 a.m.
  • West Coast Express will not operate.

The TransLink Customer Service Centre, Access Transit Customer Care Office, and Lost Property Office will be closed.

Service returns to regular weekday schedules for all modes on Tuesday, July 2. Starting on July 2, SeaBus will begin weekday morning service 15 minutes earlier in both directions. Additionally, 15-minute service has been extended to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights until September 28 to accommodate crowds this summer.

Travellers using BC Transit connections can review the BC Transit holiday service schedules for the long weekend. Customers travelling on BC Ferries are encouraged to view holiday schedules.
